Transmotor generator DCG 35.75 EVR 12-40 VDC

The DCG type brush less transistorized charging generator has been specially developed and designed for battery charging and/or DC power supply for small boats, e.g. fishing vessels, pleasure boats and the like, but can also be used for many other purposes where a DC voltage supply stable over variable speed is required. 

Description:

The DCG generator series is a range of DC generators suitable for use as main generator (shaft generator) for many types of fishing vessels, small towing and supply vessels, pleasure boats and the like. Together with a combustion engine it can also be used as a transportable charging generator for industrial machines and vehicles.

The generators is available in power ranges from 0.5 to 5.6 kW with 12 or 24 volt D.C. It is made in a ventilated drip-protected IC01, IP21 design with a shaft made of a corrosion-proof material. Surface welded stands are standard but a different fixing device is available upon request.

The generator is constructed as an straight-pole half-wave generator with fraction slot winding without brushes or rotating windings (*1). It is self-exciting and can be used without a battery with optional direction of rotation. No use of external units is necessary as both the main rectifier with noise reduction and the voltage controller are integrated in the unit.

The voltage control consists of a glass-fiber reinforced circuit board as a low frequency pulse width modulating transistor control with an integrated regenerative feedback with RC coupling which ensures an almost non-dissipative pulse function. The DCG-35, -55 controller is embedded in a two-component polyurethane molding material for component cooling and protection against moisture. The controller for DCG-75 is integrated in the terminal box and consists of replaceable, moisture proof modules.

*1) The generator is constructed without moving electrical parts and this gives a very low service frequency and high level of reliability. As in the TM, PMG and ACG generators the ball bearings are the only moving parts (wearing parts).
